About Brownie Macintosh...

A veteran performer since 1965, Brownie has been doing children's entertainment for over 20 years. He has composed songs for the Kingston Trio, The Irish Rovers, Atlantic Music Corp, Cherry Lane/Cherry River Music Corp, Nova, (PBS) and many others on an international level. He has appeared on stage with Jay Leno, Thedore Bikel, The Kingston Trio, Pure Prairie League, Doc Watson, Eric Weissberg (The Dueling Banjos) and countless others.

Brownie has authored/co-authored two children's picture book/cassette kits.“The Streamlined DoubleDecker Bus” and “A Pirate's Life for Me”... the later collaboration with Julie Thompson. Brownie has also composed/arranged and produced music for corporate videos and slide shows for companies like General Electric, has written, produced and arranged over three hundred commercial radio/TV jingles, and as an actor appeared in two films for the History Channel, as well as the independent film “People from Space”.

Julie & Brownie’s Healthy Choices Show

With their new show, “Healthy Choices” Julie and Brownie cover many different topics... the show can be tailored toward healthy eating, exercise, diversity, tolerance or safety. With music, comedy, audience participation and visuals, Julie and Brownie are not just suggesting, but stimulating the children to make good decisions and choices for themselves. Edu-tainment at it’s best!

Julie and Brownie make over one hundred appearances each year at schools, fairs, libraries, community festivals and events throughout New England and beyond.

We have had the great pleasure of collaborating with Brownie in creating our new coloring book for young children. This new book is named after his hit song,

His inspired lyrics about having fun with vegetables helped guide the art program.The Music CD that is bundled with the book will delight children and adults alike. It's crunchy and munchy, not to mention musically catchy! Who knew vegetables could be so much fun!
