Randy Jennings is a published illustrator who has completed a half dozen full-length children’s books. Two of his illustrated books, The Perfectos: Island of the Forbidden Volcano (ISBN# 1-4010-8445-1) and Jack the Westie: Jack’s Special Day (ISBN# 0-9741295-0-X) were launched by other publishers in 2003.
For Leaping Antelope Productions, Randy has put the final detailed touches on the full-color illustrations for the fantastic Dr. Wilderness Amazing to Zany Animal Facts poster as well as for two other children’s 48-page picture books—the captivating fable,The Golden Cricket: A Story of Luck and Prosperity and the light-hearted Crabby Lessons. Through his technical and emotional mastery of the story characters, Randy has brought these stories to life. He’s also enriched these art programs by adding his own story concepts and humor.
Randy has also recently finished his incredible art program for our new science fiction book Little Green Men (ages 3-up),. His collaboration with Marilee Joy Mayfeld will surely delight parents and children alike. We think that this is thier most inspired work to date! Release date is expected to be early 2009.
In addition to his children’s books, Randy has completed freelance projects for The Walt Disney company, has collaborated with famed “Star Trek” star Tim Russ on an animated project, and has teamed with comic illustrator/CG animator, Scott Sava. During Randy’s ten years as an illustrator, he has mastered a variety of styles and has created logos, cartoons and CD covers in addition to his book and poster projects.
Randy received his degree from San Jose State University in Illustration. At San Jose State, one of his professors was Alice Carter, named 1996-7 Outstanding Professor.
